Tis the season and all that.

Christmas Chestnut Butter!

I happily feast on almond, hazelnut and cashew butter regularly. When I say regularly, I mean like pretty much all the time. I have been known to get through a jar within 24 hours. Don't freak out, I'm a nut fiend.

But welcome the arrival of the newly discovered Chestnut butter.

It's healthy and packed with nutritional benefits and tastes so creamy and Christmassy that I've fallen head over heels in love with it. Yup, I'm in love with a nut butter. Send help.

So move aside the classic nut butters and bring on the Chestnut butter. It's your time to shine!

This festive snack is a little bit too good.

Ingredients

Can of chopped chestnuts

5 tablespoons water

Spices, herbs, maple syrup or whatever it is you desire to flavour your butter

Method

Stick it all in the food processor or blender and then it's ready for nom nom nom!

If you're having the savoury version, dip in some carrots, cucumber and celery. If you want to sweeten it up, dip in some fruit or pop it on some homemade bread.
