Apple Monster Bites

With Halloween just around the corner, these spooktacular homemade treats are sure to put a smile on anyone's face!

If you struggle with making fancy treats then these ones are quite possibly the easiest Halloween treats in all of Halloween treat-making history. Seriously.

A perfect healthy Halloween treat that the kids will love!

These lovely Apple Monster Bites can also be made nut-free by using sunflower butter and they're gluten free, refined-sugar free and dairy-free!

Halloween pretty much means a chocolate binge and a sugar overload so these little monsters make a nice break from all that nastiness!

Ingredients

Apples

Nut butter (or sunflower butter or coconut jam)

Sunflower seeds or almond slivers

Raspberries or strawberries for the tongues

Coconut yoghurt and raisins for the eyes

Method

Cut the apple into slices (if you rub a little bit of lemon juice into the slices, it'll stop them from browning so quickly).

Spread on some jam, nut butter or coconut jam and then add some slivered almonds or sunflower seeds for teeth. You may want to change it up for whatever you want. You only limit your possibilities by limiting your imagination. Deep.

Leave out a bowl of toppings for kids to play with and let their imaginations run wild!

Every time I look at them, I can't help but smile!
